SUMMARY:2023 May Normandy Park Mixer
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Chamber's Mixer with a local Chamber Business! It will be the perfect place to network and make new contacts in the Business and Chamber Community.\n \n\nThank you to our Hosts\, Speakers\, and Sponsors!\n\n \n\nThis event will be joined by two local Seattle Southside Chamber Ambassadors.\n\n \nLimited Capacity: A waitlist is available once all spots are filled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you\, and encourage you to register early for future events by visiting our public calendar. \n\nBUSINESS INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: \n\nSponsorship opportunities are still available\, for more information please download our Seattle Southside Chamber Event Sponsorship Form.\n\n\n\nHosting Chamber Mixers are available to all classic and above Chamber members. If you are interested in hosting a Chamber Mixer\, please contact Samantha@SeattleSouthsideChamber.com for inquires\n\n \nOur Land Acknowledgment:\n\nAs we gather\, we respectfully acknowledge that our event is taking place on occupied Coast Salish land and that Seattle Southside Chamber is on the homelands of the Duwamish people. We pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present and extend that respect to their descendants and to all Indigenous people. \n\n\n\nWhy do we recognize the land? \n\nTo recognize the land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on and a way of honoring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial. It is important to understand the long-standing history that has brought you to reside on the land and to seek to understand your place within that history. Land acknowledgments do not exist in a past tense or historical context: colonialism is a current ongoing process\, and we need to build the mindfulness of our present participation. It is also worth noting that acknowledging the land is Indigenous protocol.\n\nhttp://www.lspirg.org/knowtheland
